In 1995, at my age of 20 I founded Barzoi Kennel called Amuri-Pajkos. It was beacause I had found a beautiful Barzoi female, Atamán Céda. She was 3 years old at that time. From the very start I was amazed by her sensitivity and faithfullness.

A graduated from PANNON Agricultural University in 1998. (I attended the Facutly of Animal Breeding.) In my freetime I tried to get to know the history of Barzoi breed. I wrote my thesis about this breed. The title of it was: „The present and future of Barzoi breeding; Barzoi breeding facing shows and races.” In my opinion this great and rare breed have not been given much attention in Hungary; that is why I choose this topic to write about.

The first litter was created with Ural Aral, a male from Pecs, in1995. I would like to highlight the showresults of Astra and Adel (females living with me) from the dogs of the first generation. Astra got excellent I at all her Hungarian shows. She has 7XCAC and BOB title. (The most important is the CAC title that she got at the I. Barzoi World Meeting, held in Hungary in 1999.) Adel has HPJ, CAC, Res.CAC and Res.CACIB titles.

Astra was mated by a Polish white and red male called Obsydian Stepowy Goniec in 1999. I decided to do this because I hoped that in genealogy of the puppies the proper bones and light movement would be fixed.

In 1999, December 8 puppies were born. One of them, called Bogi following her mother got HPJ and Young Clubwinner titles at the II Barzoi World Meeting in 2001. (Judges: Marina Ostrovskaja and Dr. George Tesic) In the meantime I turned my attention to racing. In 2001 I became the general secretary of Szeged Greyhound Club. I suppose the best way of competition is the coursing. It is also a very good opportunity for the dogs to move according to their instincts and excellent hunting qualities. For the visitors of Hungarian coursing competitions the names of Amuri-Pajkos Bogi, Bella and Borka are very well-known.

Due to Dr. Agnes Koppany new horizons appeared to me in 2001 summer. I bought a dog from her called Dober-Kopp Pannon Bank Ban. This male got a HPJ and BOB title at his first Hungarian CACIB show. It means that he is the product of a well planned breeding and his parents have very good genetic backgrounds. A male and a female from the littermates of Bank Ban became World Winner in Dortmund in 2003. He himself following many classwinner titles got Res. Europawinner in Bratislava in 2003.

I hoped the best when Dober-Kopp Pannon Bank Ban and one of the Amuri-Pajkos females had puppies. This female was Bogi; her first puppy, Cirill was born on 5th December in 2002. His carreer started in the World of shows as well as his parents. When he was 11 months old, he got Res. Junior Europawinner title in Bratislava in 2003. At the age of 1,5 he got the titles of Hungarian Junior Champion and Best of Group and Junior Best in Show II. Seeing this I decided to repeat this mating.

In the Amuri-Pajkos Barzoi Kennel 9 puppies were born on 12th April, 2004.

4 males, 5 females in white and brown striped, in white and mahagony striped an in white an red colours.
